Dr McCrone's Examples
Dr McCrone and his assistant created these examples to illustrate how an artist could have created the Holy Shroud of Turin.
The Holy Shroud Guild is publishing the letter written by Dr. McCrone to Father Rinaldi because Father Otterbein did not want anyone censored based on findings that was not supportive of the authenticity of the Holy Shroud of Turin. Dr. McCrone was legally bonded by contract that no scientist would be able to publish his or hers findings without the proper peer review by S.T.U.R.P.
S.T.U.R.P. found Dr. McCrone's finding of red iron oxide questionable and turned down his abstract which prevented him to write such a paper until he found further evidence to support his claim. Of course with a little ingenuity you can leak out your findings even with a contract.
